Behind The Mic

My name is Mia Garner, and music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. At five years old, I was singing along to Beyoncé with a hairbrush in front of the television, completely unaware that music would one day shape my career.

Ten years later, I found myself performing that same song at the Royal Albert Hall, this time to a packed audience and without the hairbrush. In between those two moments, I trained extensively, taking vocal lessons to refine my technique and earning a Distinction in my Grade 8 vocals.

For me, music is more than something you hear in the background. It sets the tone, carries emotion, and creates moments people remember long after the final note fades. Whether it is a quiet, intimate performance or a room filled with energy, my aim is always the same: to make the music feel meaningful, personal, and right for the moment.
